The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man is one of the Ten Who Were Taken, a powerful sorcerer enslaved by the Dominator centuries ago. He appears as a tall man with a head twisted to the side on an obviously broken neck, purple and swollen. Unlike many of the Taken, he does not bother to conceal his face with a mask or helmet. Croaker notes that The Hanged Man has some difficulty speaking.

The Hanged Man was one of four Taken sent to kill one of the most powerful Rebel sorcers, Harden (along with Soulcatcher, Stormbringer, and a disguised Shapeshifter). During the fight, Harden throws his sword and it lodges in The Hanged Man's head. He lingers a bit, but Soulcatcher and Stormbringer decline to help him, overruling Shapeshifter. Severe head wounds tend to be fatal to the Taken and The Hanged Man is not heard from again.
